“ABSENTIA” director to create nightmares in “SOMNIA”

As we await word on OCULUS, the second film from ABSENTIA director Mike Flanagan, out of TIFF, his next nightmare-inducer has been revealed.

SOMNIA will see an orphaned child whose nightmares “manifest physically while he sleeps,” reports Variety. Deadline updated the story with news that OCULUS and RIDDICK actress Katee Sackhoff will star in the film. They elaborate, “The film explores the enduring bonds between parent and child and is punctuated by sequences of intense, visceral terror that only a child’s imagination could conjure.”

OCULUS, which World Premiered Sunday night sees a brother and sister discover the cause of a family tragedy is a 300 year-old cursed mirror.
