Acclaimed Found Footage Horror “HOOKED UP” Finds Release Date, Red Band Trailer

Fans of last year’s Mile High Horror Film Festival were able to check out some of the most buzzed about 2014 horror titles, including VHS: VIRAL, HOUSEBOUND, DEAD SNOW 2 and many more. Yet one film that unfortunately fell under the radars of most fright fans was Pablo Larcuen’s HOOKED UP, the found-footage creeper from producer (and ORPHAN filmmaker) Jaume Collet-Serra. Luckily, horror hounds will get their chance to see HOOKED UP sooner rather than later, as the film was picked up by Uncork’d Entertainment and has dropped it’s official first red-band trailer.

HOOKED UP, which follows a pairs of vacationing men who are seduced by a woman who lures them into what appears to be her home… and the scene of her murder. The mind-bending film, which was shot entirely on an iPhone, was a festival favorite according to our Mile High correspondent Madeleine Koestner, offering that the film defies expectation and offers something much creepier and more creative than standard found footage fare. You can check out the poster and the trailer below, and HOOKED UP will be available on VOD on April 7th and on DVD (and, unfortunately, not Blu-ray; sorry collectors) on June 9th.
