When we heard this season was about witches, didn’t we all think, “where’s the weird sisters, pentagrams and candles in the woods?”

IGN has an interview with AMERICAN HORROR STORY writer and executive producer Tim Minear. Much of it is uneventful, and a lot of it is him covering the fact that yes, AMERICAN HORROR STORY means to deal so heavily in wonky tones and batshittery as it does (which, if you couldn’t figure out, I’m unsure what to tell you). Peppered throughout however are brand new pieces of key art for COVEN. One features a framed portrait of Jessica Lange as the Supreme. That’s all fine and well.

This however, should glide you right into a weekend of listening to DOPETHRONE nicely.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN and its tale of a Salem Witches and Voodoo Practitioners in New Orleans premieres October 9 on FX. Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates star.
