Astron-6’s “THE EDITOR” Gets DVD/Blu Details, New Trailer

For those paying attention to the renaissance of old school horror that has been coming out of Canada as of late, then one might hope that you’re familiar with filmmaking collective Astron-6. Taking cues from low-budget, high-concept horror of yesteryear but to extremes that even their most modern contemporaries might refuse, the crew has amassed an ardent following in their particular brand of horror comedy. And now, Astron-6 is almost ready to unleash one of their most wicked chapters to date, as the collective skewers giallo and Eurohorror with their upcoming Scream Factory release THE EDITOR, which now sports a brand-new trailer.

For those unfamiliar with THE EDITOR, here’s the official synopsis…

Rey Ciso was once the greatest editor the world had ever seen. Since a horrific accident left him with four wooden fingers on his right hand, he’s had to resort to cutting pulp films and trash pictures. When the lead actors from the film he’s been editing turn up murdered at the studio, Rey is fingered as the number one suspect. The bodies continue to pile up in this absurdist giallo-thriller as Rey struggles to prove his innocence and learn the sinister truth lurking behind the scenes.

Starring Astron-6’s own Adam Brooks, Matthew Kennedy, and Conor Sweeney as well as NURSE 3D’s Paz de la Huerta, BAD MEAT’s Samantha Hill, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2’s Laurence R. Harvey, AMERICAN MARY’s Tristan Risk and genre superstar Udo Kier, THE EDITOR makes its Blu-ray and DVD debut on September 8th, 2015 from Scream Factory. Bonus features include a commentary with Brooks, Sweeney and Kennedy as well as deleted scenes, music/poster featurettes, Astron-6 Film Festival introduction and a behind-the-scenes documentary, You can check latest trailer for the film below, and keep an eye out for more on THE EDITOR here at FANGORIA.com!
