A brand new image from the upcoming MY SOUL TO TAKE has popped up online. Check it out after the jump!

During MTV’s Fall preview, they nabbed an exclusive from Wes Craven’s latest film. Here’s the synopsis:

“In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.

Adam “Bug” Heller (Max Thierot) was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest … until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.”

MY SOUL TO TAKE hits theaters October 8 and each Friday until then I’m taking a look at some of the more unsung of Craven flicks. You can check out the first of the series right here, and find out more about MY SOUL TO TAKE at its official site here.

  • Chomp into red-band trailer for “LAKE PLACID 3”!

Syfy took a big bite out of the ratings with its recent broadcast of LAKE PLACID 3…but wasn’t able to show the complete, uncut version. The full unrated edition is heading for DVD, and the red-band trailer can be seen after the jump!

LAKE PLACID 3—which became the most-watched Syfy/Sci Fi program since 2005, drawing in over 3.1 million viewers—arrives on disc October 26 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, replete with “graphic violence and full frontal nudity” teased in the not-safe-for-work preview seen below. Colin Ferguson from Syfy’s EUREKA stars as biologist who knows that the perpetrators of brutal killings of people and animals around a country lake are voracious crocodiles, and sets out with a hunting guide (Yancy Butler) to stop them. Of course, there’s a local sheriff (Michael Ironside) around to make trouble by attempting to cover up the killings so as not to impact the tourist trade. Actor-turned-director Griff Furst of The Asylum’s I AM OMEGA and UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS helmed the flick from a script by David Reed; the cast also includes Kacey Barnfield, Kirsty Mitchell and Mark Evans. As of now, the DVD will contain no special features supplementing the 1.78:1 anamorphic transfer with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio; retail price is $24.96.
