The funniest horror/vampire/comedy in ages is now preparing to sink its teeth into the disc scene. Read on for the complete contents and cover art.

Paramount Home Media Distribution has announced a July 21 Blu-ray and DVD street date for WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, the much-raved about mockumentary by New Zealanders Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. A festival favorite and a hit in its select theatrical release earlier this year, the saga of three bloodsuckers (played by Clement, Waititi and Jonathan Brugh) trying to deal with the complications of modern life while a camera crew follows them around will feature more than two hours of bonus material on the Blu-ray. That disc will present the movie in 1080p high-definition widescreen with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio, plus these supplements:

• Audio commentary by Clement and Waititi
• “Behind the Shadows” featurette
• Deleted scenes
• Video extras
• Interviews
• Promo videos
• Poster gallery

The DVD will have a 16×9-enhanced widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound only. Retail prices are $39.99 for the Blu-ray, $29.99 for the DVD. See our review of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS here and interviews with Clement and Waititi here and here.
