A pair of international horror movies—COLIN (pictured left), from Britain, and the Brazilian BEYOND THE GRAVE—have announced where they’re making their U.S. premieres. The latter has set its world premiere as well, and its producers have released a few new photos.
COLIN, the acclaimed $70 zombie feature written and directed by Marc Price, will make its North American debut at the 13th Floor Haunted House in San Antonio, Texas. It’ll be screened at the attraction—part of the American Haunts network—on Thursday, September 23, with other U.S. screenings to follow across the country (see more info here). COLIN stars Alastair Kirton as a young man who gets bitten by a zombie during an undead outbreak in Britain, and follows him as he transforms and wanders through the postapocalyptic landscape. Check out Fango #298, on sale in October, for Price’s observations on the making of COLIN, and see the movie’s official website here.
BEYOND THE GRAVE, written and directed by Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro, is also set in a wasted world, where a cop named Lockheart (Rafael Tombini, pictured in top photo below) pursues a supernatural serial killer called The Dark Rider. This film will have its U.S. premiere on Saturday, September 25 at the Arizona Underground Film Festival, and its world premiere tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 9 at the CineFantasy fest in São Paulo, Brazil. “BEYOND THE GRAVE is a genre film based on the loneliness of a postapocalyptic planet,” Pinheiro says. “Through the creation of this particular world, I tried to convey not only the films that I love, but the fragility of the human being in this time of fear and battle against nature, without of course forgetting to bring some great action and adventure with it!” Check out BEYOND THE GRAVE’s trailer below the pics, and its official site here.
