Death Waltz Recording launches creative marketing competition for “ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13”

Death Waltz Recording Co., the UK-based level giving beautiful, intense care to beloved genre scores—like THE FOG, PRINCE OF DARKNESS and the MANIAC remake—on vinyl is anticipating the upcoming ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 release with an opportunity for junior creatives.

Spencer Hickman, of Death Waltz, has teamed with IPA Direct Marketing Group to seek out and field pitches for an exciting, social based campaign launching the re-release of John Carpenter’s ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 score. A 90-second pitch video must be submitted by September 16th, 2013 and the winner will receive a budget of £10,000 to work with.

As noted in the creative brief, PRECINCT 13 “was a seminal moment in electronic music inspiring an entire generation. Any serious dance music artist of today will readily admit the importance of John Carpenter’s film and musical legacy.”

If this sounds like something you’d excel at, the opportunity, both working with Death Waltz and on something like PRECINCT is massive. You can find the full brief, and terms and conditions at IPA.
