The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out in high definition as the cult-fave nature-gone-mad movie SQUIRM sees its Blu-ray debut at Halloweentime. Read on for the complete specs.

Shout! Factory releases SQUIRM on hi-def disc October 28 on its Scream Factory label. Jeff Lieberman wrote and directed the film, featuring early FX by makeup master Rick Baker, in which a young man from the city (Don Scardino) arrives in the small Georgia town of Fly Creek just in time to join the residents in being terrorized by carnivorous sandworms driven up from the soil by downed power lines. In addition to a 1080p hi-def 1.85:1 transfer with DTS-HD Master Audio, the Blu-ray will include:

• Audio commentary by writer/director Lieberman
• New “Eureka!” featurette—a look at where the idea for SQUIRM came from with Jeff Lieberman
• New “Digging In” featurette—interviews with Lieberman and Scardino
• Theatrical trailer
• TV spot
• Still gallery

Retail price is $29.93, and those who pre-order it for $21.95 at the Shout! Factory website will receive an exclusive 18×24-inch poster for the newly commissioned artwork while supplies last. SQUIRM is one of the 100-plus titles celebrated and reviewed in our upcoming special Scream Factory magazine—pre-order it here!
