“EVIL DEAD” (2013) Alternate Ending, Deleted Scenes Uncovered!

,

One of the biggest surprises of 2013 for horror fans was Fede Alvarez’s EVIL DEAD remake, which introduce the franchise to younger audiences with a brutal helping of blood and gore. And yet, while Alvarez has often attested the film was barely cut to achieve an R, fans have wondered what had been left on the cutting room floor after all, and when they would be able to see it. And while FANGORIA does not know if this paints a complete picture of EVIL DEAD, fans can check out some of the “lost footage” right frigging now!

Supposedly culled from a U.K. Television Edit of the film, four clips surfaced today on Youtube which show footage from the remake unseen stateside. While some of the scenes had been hinted at in promotional materials, this marks the first time they’ve been shown in action, including the film’s scripted original ending. Whether or not it was scrapped for the more ambiguous ending in the film now to preserve the chance for a sequel is unknown, but you can check out these clips (while you can!) below:
