Exclusive clip plunges you into the “PANDEMIC”

Chaos reigns when a PANDEMIC sweeps across the Earth in the apocalyptic chiller opening next week and having a free Fango-sponsored screening on Monday. We’ve got an exclusive excerpt after the jump.

PANDEMIC invades theaters April 1 and coming to VOD and iTunes April 5 from XLrator Media, and New York-area Fangorians can see it for free next Monday, March 28 (see details here). Directed by John Suits and written by Dustin T. Benson (whose script, originally titled VIRAL, was on the 2012 Blood List and Hit List of hot genre screenplays), the movie stars Rachel Nichols, Alfie Allen, Fango fave Pat Healy of CHEAP THRILLS, THE INNKEEPERS and COMPLIANCE, Missi Pyle and DAWN OF THE DEAD’s Mekhi Phifer. Gabriel Cowan, whose many genre credits include CHEAP THRILLS and BAD MILO!, produced with Suits, and Hugo Villasenor of STARRY EYES and BONE TOMAHAWK headed up the makeup department.

According to the official synopsis, “PANDEMIC is set in the near future, when a virus of epic proportions has overtaken the planet. There are more infected than uninfected, and humanity is losing its grip on survival. Its only hope is finding a cure and keeping the infected contained. Lauren [Nichols] is a doctor who, after the fall of New York, comes to Los Angeles to lead a team to hunt for and rescue uninfected survivors.”
