Exclusive clip: There’s nowhere to hide in “EXTINCTION”

Opening today, the horror-thriller EXTINCTION is an above-average entry in the zombie/infected subgenre. Get an exclusive peek at how the horror begins after the jump.

Released by Stage 6 Films and Vertical Entertainment and playing in select theaters and on VOD, EXTINCTION was directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas, who made a searing impression on the genre with his home-invasion shocker KIDNAPPED. The new film opens with a zombie plague overtaking the world (as sampled in the clip) before jumping ahead nine years later. In a snowbound landscape, Patrick (Matthew Fox) and Jack (Jeffrey Donovan, pictured at top) live in adjoining houses, the latter with his young daughter Lu (Quinn McColgan)—but the two men are at odds, in conflict with each other even before a new mutation of the infected humans appears to threaten them.
