Exclusive: comic-artist and more posters for “DEAD WITHIN”

The actors were almost as frightened as their characters during the making of DEAD WITHIN, set to open this fall and world-premiering at London’s FrightFest next month. We’ve got the exclusive look at a few new posters from different artists.

Millennium Entertainment will release DEAD WITHIN, for which the synopsis goes: “Six months after a deadly outbreak that has all but ended the human race, a man [Dean Chekvala] and woman [Amy Cale Peterson] have survived by isolating themselves in a remote cabin and never opening the door. Now, they don’t have a choice. Starved for resources, they must confront the horrors that threaten them…but what’s inside may be even more toxic than what remains outside.” Director/co-writer Ben Wagner made the shoot an immersive experience for his leads, who really were locked in a cabin for the entirety of the filming, not knowing what scares would be confronting them.

Wagner, also an accomplished comic-book artist/graphic novelist, will be promoting DEAD WITHIN at San Diego Comic-Con this Sunday, July 27 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the IDW booth, where he’ll also be flogging the MEAN STREETS collection, featuring his story “Baja.” He’ll be signing the variant poster by fellow illustrator Jim Wheelock that’s the first one pictured below; it’s followed by one from comic artist Hillary Bauman and two variations on the international poster. DEAD WITHIN’s FrightFest premiere will take place Saturday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m.; see more details here.
