Exclusive first word: NZ heavy-metal horror “DEATHGASM” gets a U.S. date!

Having rocked the house at Fantasia and other festivals, the New Zealand metalheads-vs.-demons gorefest DEATHGASM is coming to take over America, and we have the exclusive scoop on when!

Dark Sky Films let us know that it will release DEATHGASM in U.S. theaters October 2. Written and directed by Jason Lei Howden, it stars Milo Cawthorne as Brodie, a new kid at his high school who gets bullied for his love of heavy metal but finds kinship with bad boy Zakk (James Blake). When the two form a band called Deathgasm and play a tune by legendary rocker Rikki Daggers, they inadvertently raise literal hell, and have to stop it with the help of Medina (Kimberley Crossman), a girl Brodie’s smitten with.
