Exclusive: IFC dates “WYRMWOOD” (with poster) and “EJECTA”

Setting its slate for 2015, IFC Films has nailed down dates for two IFC Midnight titles: the zombie-apocalypse movie WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD (pictured above) and the sci-fi thriller EJECTA. We’ve got the first word on both, plus an exclusive look at a new WYRMWOOD poster.

Fango got the scoop that WYRMWOOD will roar into theaters, cable and digital VOD February 13, and EJECTA will follow on February 27. WYRMWOOD, directed by Kiah Roache-Turner and written by Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner, is an Aussie production taking cues from the country’s seminal MAD MAX pictures, following a mechanic who takes to the undead-infested road to rescue his kidnapped sister from an evil doctor. EJECTA, from the Canadian team behind ANTISOCIAL, MONSTER BRAWL and others, was helmed by Chad Archibald and Matt Wiele from a script by PONTYPOOL’s Tony Burgess, and focuses on an alien abductee (CUBE and WRONG TURN’s Julian Richings) who is detained and interrogated by government agents. See our previous items on EJECTA here and here, and trailers for both movies below the poster.
