Exclusive poster, premiere news: “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: DARKEST DAWN”

The animated dead are getting closer, and with word of the new movie’s premiere, we also have an exclusive first look at the poster.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: DARKEST DAWN (for which we premiered the trailer and images here) was originally known as NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ORIGINS and relocates the events of George A. Romero’s classic story to present-day New York City. Directed by Krisztian Majdik and Zebediah De Soto, the movie reunites Tony Todd as Ben and Bill Moseley as Johnny from Tom Savini’s 1990 NIGHT remake, and the voice cast also includes Danielle Harris as Barbara, DAY OF THE DEAD’s Joseph Pilato as Harry Cooper, Tom Sizemore as Chief McClelland, Alona Tal as Helen Cooper, Madhavan as Tom, Sarah Habel as Judy and Luann De Soto as Karen.

DARKEST DAWN will have its world premiere Saturday, July 11 at San Diego’s Walker Stalker Con. Doors open at 9 p.m. to non-Walker Stalker attendees, the movie begins at 9:45 and there’s a VIP after-party at 11 with Pilato (must be 21 or over to attend this bash). Tickets are on sale exclusively at DARKEST DAWN’s Indiegogo page; and include a free digital stream of the film and a theatrical poster (which Pilato will sign); this is a sanctioned San Diego Comic-Con event, but Comic-Con passes aren’t required for entry. See NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: DARKEST DAWN’s Facebook page here.
