Exclusive poster: “THE SACRAMENT’s” Gene Jones suffers “DEMENTIA”

Gene Jones, who made an indelible impression as THE SACRAMENT’s religious cult leader, is now the victim of scheming Kristina Klebe (from HALLOWEEN and PROXY) in the psychochiller DEMENTIA, coming next month. We’ve got an exclusive first look at the new poster.

IFC Films releases DEMENTIA in select theaters and on VOD December 4 under the IFC Midnight banner. Directed by Mike Testin, who served as cinematographer on the CONTRACTED duo and others, from a script by Meredith Berg, it stars Jones as George, described in the official synopsis as “an aging ex-soldier haunted by memories of Vietnam and struggling to reconnect with his estranged son and granddaughter. But when he suffers a stroke and is diagnosed with dementia, George is left in the care of Michelle [Klebe], a seemingly sweet nurse with a disturbing dark side. At the mercy of a psychopath with a hypodermic needle, George becomes a prisoner in his own home, caught in a sadistic game of cat and mouse as brutal as anything he experienced in Vietnam.”

The genre-friendly supporting cast includes RESOLUTION’s Peter Cilella, HATCHET’s Richard Riehle, Marc Senter from THE LOST and THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL and Graham Skipper from ALMOST HUMAN and THE MIND’S EYE, along with Hassie Harrison. Look for an interview with Testin on DEMENTIA in Fango #345, out this month.
