Exclusive “PRESERVATION” clip explores the killer instinctMovies/TV,News Michael Gingold
It’s one thing to go hunting, but another to actually be able to kill. That’s the theme of the survival-horror film PRESERVATION, opening next week; jump past the jump for an exclusive excerpt.
Arriving in theaters Friday, January 9 from The Orchard, PRESERVATION is the latest directorial effort (following the domestic chiller HOME MOVIE) from Christopher Denham, also known as an actor from films like SHUTTER ISLAND, THE BAY and ARGO. Wrenn Schmidt, Pablo Schreiber and Aaron Staton star; here’s the synopsis: “PRESERVATION follows brothers Sean [Schreiber], a recently returned veteran, and Mike [Staton], a hedge fund manager, who head out of town to hunt in a closed nature preserve with Mike’s wife, Wit [Schmidt]—a brainy anesthesiologist—in tow. With Sean unhinged from his stint in the military, and Mike distracted by career ambition, this was not the romantic getaway Wit was hoping for. But soon the trio is threatened by an unseen menace, and the hunters become the hunted. A camping trip in the woods turns into a contest for survival.” See our review of PRESERVATION here and some words from Denham on the movie here.
