Exclusive Trailer: Anchor Bay Canada’s “BLACK CHRISTMAS” Blu-ray, ‘Seasons Grievings’ Edition!

While most horror hounds are neck deep in Halloween at this point in the year, there are a select few fright fans who already have their mind set on another holiday sacred to our gruesome genre: Christmas! And while the season has some top tier contenders for Christmas horror classics, including SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT and GREMLINS, no one gets closer to the title of scariest Xmas offering than Bob Clark’s 1974 frightener BLACK CHRISTMAS. And for horror collectors in the Great White North, Christmas is coming early this year as FANGORIA has the first official trailer for Critical Mass Releasing & Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada’s “Season’s Grievings” edition of BLACK CHRISTMAS on Blu-ray, with enough new bonus features to stuff a stocking!

For those somehow unfamiliar with the film, here’s the official synopsis for BLACK CHRISTMAS…

The college town of Bedford is receiving an unwelcome guest this Christmas. As the residents of sorority house Pi Kappa Sig prepare for the festive season, a demonic stranger begins to stalk the house. A series of grisly obscene phone-calls start to plague the residents of the sorority and soon they will each meet their fate at the hands of the psychotic intruder. As the Police try to trace the calls, they discover that nothing is as it seems during this Black Christmas.

This ‘Seasons Grievings’ Edition of BLACK CHRISTMAS hits Canadian Blu-ray shelves on November 24th; no news as to whether fright fans below the border in the U.S. will get that edition before the holiday season. You can check out the official art and feature listing for the release below!
