Exclusive trailer puts you in “THE CHAIR” with Roddy Piper, Zach Galligan et al.

Chad Ferrin, director of such nightmarish fare as SOMEONE’S KNOCKING AT THE DOOR and THE GHOULS, is getting ready to shock you anew with the prison-set THE CHAIR, based on the Alterna Comics graphic novel. We’ve got the exclusive first look at the movie’s new trailer.

Scripted by Peter Simeti, who wrote the graphic novel and illustrated it with Kevin Christensen, and Erin Kohut, who edited the book, THE CHAIR boasts an eclectic genre cast including the ubiquitous Bill Oberst Jr., Ferrin film regular Tim Muskatell, Noah Hathaway from THE NEVERENDING STORY and TROLL, the GREMLINS films’ Zach Galligan, AMERICAN HORROR STORY’s Naomi Grossman, THE HILLS HAVE EYES’ Ezra Buzzington and THEY LIVE hero Roddy Piper. The synopsis goes like this: “THE CHAIR follows the story of Richard Sullivan [Muskatell], an innocent man struggling to escape execution on Death Row. Witnessing the torture and murder of his fellow inmates at the hand of the prison’s sadistic and psychotic Warden [Oberst], Sullivan decides that the only way to survive is to fight back. But as he matches the savagery and brutality occurring in the prison, Sullivan is forced to come face to face with his own sanity.”
