FANGO Contributor Izzy Lee Brings Scary Short Films to Frightfest, Fantasia Film Festival

Though the top genre festivals in the world often grab fright fans’ attention with the latest and most desired horror features, one mustn’t forget the array of fantastic horror shorts that one can see in the festival scene. And of course, with the many writers who lend their unique, critical voices to the pages of FANGORIA, it’s no surprise that many also find their voices in the world of short form cinema, making an impression from one city to the next with their visual nightmares. One FANGORIA contributor, Izzy Lee, is among the hardest working short film directors in the genre, and the proof lies in the pictures as two of her latest shorts, entitled POSTPARTUM and A FAVOR, have landed screenings at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival as well as UK’s beloved FrightFest!

That’s right: A FAVOR will be having it’s European premiere at FrightFest, with dates and details to be announced. Directed by Lee, written by Christopher Hallock, and starring Shaun Callaghan, Jose Gonsalves, and Diana Porter, you can check out the teaser for A FAVOR below!

Meanwhile, Lee’s POSTPARTUM plays ahead of LADY PSYCHO KILLER at Fantasia International Film Festival this Sunday, August 2nd, at 5:15 p.m. Directed by Lee, co-written by Hallock and Lee and starring Kasey Lansdale and Diana Porter, you can check out the trailer for POSTPARTUM below! And for more on both shorts, you can check out more information on the shorts HERE.
