First trailer and poster: The new mad scientists and monster of “VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN”

Mary Shelley’s classic tale gets another screen makeover in VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, with X-MEN’s James McAvoy as the God-playing scientist and THE WOMAN IN BLACK’s Daniel Radcliffe as Igor. The trailer and poster are now out and can be seen past the jump.

Opening November 25 from Fox, VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN stays in period but emphasizes the partnership between the doctor and his assistant, according to the official synopsis: “Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.”

Paul McGuigan directed VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN from a script by CHRONICLE’s Max Landis; Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox also star, and the prosthetics were designed by top British makeup artists Neill Gorton and Rob Mayor.
