“FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY” Trailer: Only the Nazis would think of something like this

It’s not dissimilar from the earlier red band trailer, but the official FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY theatrical clip still shows off FANGORIA #326 cover boy Mosquito and the rest of the Nazi monster goods in full.

FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY seems directly out of its mind, and if our Michael Gingold’s review is any indication, it is. Seemingly discontent with the tired idea of “what if Nazis came back as zombies?”, Dutch filmmaker Richard Raaphorst has crafted a vision of mechanically engineered zombots. That is to say, they are once dead soldiers refashioned into something else entirely. The design by Raaphorst and FX supervisor Rogier Samuels and his Unreal team looks out of this world and the frenzy is hopefully something to behold this July 26 when they storm VOD and limited theatrical release.

From Dark Sky Films, FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY lies “in the waning days of World War II, where a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (HELLBOY’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissension among their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.”
