Fright Night Theatre and FANGORIA to Present Canadian Premiere of “CIRCUS OF THE DEAD”

Are you afraid of clowns? You should be, especially if you ran into the deranged likes of those in Billy Pon’s killer clown flick CIRCUS OF THE DEAD. And now, the Great White North will get an opportunity to get the full CIRCUS OF THE DEAD experience as FANGORIA and Fright Night Theatre are to host the film’s Canadian Premiere next month!

That’s right: on Saturday, May 9th at 8:00 p.m., Fright Night Theatre will be transforming Hamilton’s Staircase Theatre (27 Dundurn Street N., Hamilton, ON) into its own creepy circus, complete with events and the film itself. For those unfamiliar with CIRCUS OF THE DEAD, you can check out the official synopsis below:

After a night at the circus, a family man must fight for his life and his family when a marauding troupe of sadistic clowns led by the deviant Papa Corn (Bill Oberst Jr.) ensnare him in an all-night crime spree through oil-soaked West Texas. Armed with guns, knives, and a 68 Camaro, Papa Corn and his insane clown posse bring blood, gore, and mayhem to all they encounter. Written and directed by Bloody Billy Pon (DOLLBOY), CIRCUS OF THE DEAD is THE DEVIL’S REJECTS meets TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE of killer clown movies.

On the list of events for the night also includes the North American premiere of Tom Lox’s short film CLOWN AND OUT, a Creepy Clown Make-up / Costume Contest, Carnival Games and FANGORIA Prize Raffles. Doors will open at 7, and advance tickets are going for $10, while advance tickets will go for $12 (although those in clown costumes will receive a $2 discount). You can pick up tickets here, and you can also find out more information via the Facebook event here.
