Glass Doll Films Releases Grindhouse Classics “BONNIE’S KIDS”, “THE CENTERFOLD GIRLS” to Australian Blu-rayMovies/TV,News Ken W. Hanley
As most fans of the macabre know, the horror and exploitation genres have often walked hand-in-hand as entertainment normally reserved for the deviants and disturbed. However, the renaissance of both genres over the past decade has truly shined a new light on some of the exceptional work among the seedy unbelly of cinema, and now, thats to the Australian-based Glass Doll Films, two of the most renowned grindhouse flicks are coming to high definition with plenty of exclusive extras: Arthur Marks’ BONNIE’S KIDS and John Peyser’s THE CENTERFOLD GIRLS!
That’s right: both of these pieces of sinful cinema are getting the 1080p treatment from Glass Doll Films with new HD transfers from their original negative, and luckily for fans in the U.S. who want these bad boys instead of their Gorgon Video counterparts, the discs are both region free. Glass Doll’s disc for BONNIE’S KIDS also features a new interview with star Tiffany Bolling produced by Gorgon Video, as well as the very first interview with actor Steve Sandor that runs a whopping 72 minutes. BONNIE’S KIDS also includes a featurette on Marks’ career in the grindhouse scene as well as a hilarious commentary track from Terror Transmission films, Trailers, TV Spots, Music Cues and a Collectible Booklet.
THE CENTERFOLD GIRLS also has its fair share of special features as well, including the “Making the Cut: A Look Back at THE CENTERFOLD GIRLS” featurette, a Terror Transmission audio commentary, Trailers, TV and Radio Spots, Music Cues and a Collectible Booklet. Both titles are hit Australian video marketplaces today, July 22nd, and for movie information, you can visit the Glass Doll Films website and Facebook page.
