Henry Rollins rolls “HE NEVER DIED” today

Although you’ve seen him act opposite evil in FEAST, WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END and THE DEVIL’S TOMB, singer/speaker/actor Henry Rollins has yet to have the chance to shine as a film lead. However, that’s about to change, as Rollins is starring in the brutal horror-thriller HE NEVER DIED.

Being touted as a mix between a vampire film and a SIN CITY-esque neo-noir, HE NEVER DIED follows Rollins as Jack, a depressed and reclusive bloodsucker living on nighttime television and stolen hospital blood bags, whose past leads him out of his nonviolent lifestyle and to take responsibility for his previous bloodlust. The film, which begins shooting today in Toronto under the direction of Jason Krawczyk, also stars GRAND THEFT AUTO V’s Steven Ogg and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST’s Booboo Stewart. 108 Media and Alternate Ending Studios (which put together the early sizzle reel seen below) are producing HE NEVER DIED, which is targeting an unspecified 2014 release date.
