High School Horror, “LOCKDOWN AT FRANKLIN HIGH” gets director

Storyboard artist Federico D’Alessandro is almost set to pen and helm LOCKDOWN AT FRANKLIN HIGH, a tale previously acquired by Sony Pictures from DANCE OF THE DEAD writers Joe Ballarini and Gregg Bishop.

A film about a supernatural monster attacking a high school while everyone takes refuge inside, LOCKDOWN AT FRANKLIN HIGH is mainly exciting because its original synopsis named the lead character as straight edge teen girl. I’m fully of the opinion we need more hardcore kids onscreen.

Envisioned as microbudget, LOCKDOWN AT FRANKLIN HIGH is also a Platinum Dunes production, as was this year’s THE PURGE. You can see D’Alessandro’s artwork, including pieces of the Universal Monsters, here. [Deadline]
