Jamie Foxx to try his hand at horror, directing Syfy anthology series

Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx, who recently shed much, much blood in Quentin Tarantino’s brilliant DJANGO UNCHAINED will dive deeper into genre by writing, directing and producing an upcoming horror anthology show for Syfy Channel.

While little has been revealed, Deadline reports Foxx’s five episode TWILIGHT ZONE-esque series will premiere this fall midst the channel’s annual month-long Halloween programming. He says, “This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life. Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way!”

While Foxx had already proven himself a gifted writer and actor, DJANGO was still something of a revelation and it’s fantastic he plans to remain unpredictable and exploratory. Very interested to see what this entails.
