“JURASSIC PARK 4” (in 3D) release date and scripters announced

The dinosaurs are getting ready to rampage again as plans firm up for the next sequel—with a new dimension.

Variety reports that Steven Spielberg, who put his plans for the ROBOPOCALYPSE movie on hold earlier this week, is forging ahead as producer (and, conceivably, director) of JURASSIC PARK 4, which Universal has targeted for release on June 13, 2014. The storyline for the new movie, which will be shot in 3D, has not been revealed, but Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, whose credits include RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and THE RELIC, are scripting. Universal has a 3D conversion of the original JURASSIC PARK hitting screens April 5.
