“KRAMPUS” and Blumhouse’s “THE VEIL” (with Thomas Jane) are dated for disc

The hit Christmas horror tale and a cult chiller from the busy fright factory are on their way home next month.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has slated a February 23 disc date for KRAMPUS (pictured above), Michael Dougherty’s Yuletide horror hit in which “the shadow of St. Nicholas” and his killer-toy minions wreak havoc on a dysfunctional family (review here). It’ll be available on DVD and a Blu-ray/DVD/digital combo pack. The company also has the Blumhouse production THE VEIL set for February 2 on DVD; directed by Phil Joanou from a script by JESSABELLE and HELL BABY’s Robert Ben Garant, who also produced with Jason Blum, it stars Jessica Alba, Thomas Jane, Lily Rabe, Shannon Woodward, Reid Scott and Aleksa Palladino. The synopsis says, “Follow the lone survivor of a religious cult mass-suicide as she returns to the scene of the tragedy for the first time, after 30 years, with a documentary crew in tow. What they unveil is more disturbing than they could have ever imagined.” Special features have yet to be announced for these titles.
