Lesbian Necrophilia, Violent Hemorrhaging warns “HEMLOCK GROVE” Red Band Trailer

Netflix’s original programming and their all-in-one-day approach is about to get good deal gory and a good deal sudsy. Based on the novel from Brian McGreevy and produced, shepherded and partly directed by Eli Roth, HEMLOCK GROVE—as evidenced in its red band preview—revels in all manner of small town illicit deeds.

HEMLOCK premieres this Friday, April 19; optimal placement for weekend gorging on this tale of the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell.  Through the investigation, the town’s seamier side, including werewolves and bio-experiments, is exposed, revealing nothing is what it seems.

I’ve seen two episodes so far, and the above footage is a pretty accurate look at the fun to expect. I’m all in what’s clearly both TWIN PEAKS-inspired and a product of post-AMERICAN HORROR STORY TV. This is bloody, soapy, hammy all-over print horror. There’s a review forthcoming, and I’m looking forward to setting aside more than a few hours to catch the rest.
