Magnet Releasing Taking A Horrific “HONEYMOON”

Magnet Releasing, the popular genre arm of Magnolia Pictures has found its latest independent skin-crawler, Leigh Janiak’s strong debut HONEYMOON.

Well received upon its World Premiere earlier this month at Austin’s SXSW (including by Fango, our review), HONEYMOON is an uncomfortable little picture about the breakdown of a very young marriage. In the film, GAME OF THRONES’ Rose Leslie and Harry Treadaway (the upcoming PENNY DREADFUL) star “as newlyweds who travel to remote lake country for their honeymoon where the promise of private romance awaits them.  Shortly after arriving, Paul finds Bea wandering and disoriented in the middle of the night. As she becomes more distant and her behavior increasingly peculiar, Paul begins to suspect something more sinister than sleepwalking took place in the woods.”

Horror fans in New York can catch HONEYMOON when it plays the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival in April (screening info and tickets here). Magnet plans to release the film later this year. For more, find a foreboding teaser for the film, below.
