Make a date to visit Bobcat Goldthwait’s “WILLOW CREEK”

Following his acclaimed dark comedies like WORLD’S GREATEST DAD and GOD BLESS AMERICA, Bobcat Goldthwait ventured into the straight horror genre with the Bigfoot movie WILLOW CREEK, and a release date has just been revealed.

MPI has announced that it will open WILLOW CREEK June 6 at New York City’s IFC Center, and roll it out into other cities in the subsequent weeks. Writer/director Goldthwait adopts the found-footage format to follow wannabe documentarian Jim (Bryce Johnson) and his girlfriend Kelly (Alexie Gilmore) into Humboldt County, CA, where the famous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot footage was shot, in hopes of capturing the creature on video himself. Needless to say, things don’t go the way he planned. See our review of WILLOW CREEK here and look for an interview with Goldthwait in Fango #333, on sale in June.
