Max Allan Collins’ “DREADTIME STORIES” script, “House of Blood” wins award!

Writer Max Allan Collins (ROAD TO PERDITION), one of the driving creative forces behind our beloved horror radio drama series FANGORIA’S DREADTIME STORIES has just picked up the Award of Excellence brass for his chilling “House of Blood” script at the 22nd annual Iowa Motion Picture Association Awards.

The screenplay categories (produced and unproduced) are judged by professional screenwriters from California and elsewhere around the country. Collins’  “Reincarnal” (also a DREADTIME STORIES radio script, originally) won the same award last year.  The writer has seen several screenplays in this category go on to production, including THE LAST LULLABY with Tom Sizemore and REAL TIME: SIEGE AT LUCAS STREET MARKET with Brinke Stevens.

“House of Blood”—so eerily brought to life on radio with the voice talents of Skinny Puppy legend Ogre and Fango editor Chris Alexander’s spooky music—is a mind-bending supernatural shocker intended for the screen, dealing with the titular terminally haunted manor. You can download our version of Collins’ story here.

And for those dedicated DREADTIME STORIES fans lamenting the current hiatus of the show…. brace yourself for some pillar-shaking news about the show to drop any day, right here at Fangoria.com!
