Mike Flanagan’s haunted mirror tale, “OCULUS” picked up out of TIFF


Though initially slated to come courtesy of FilmDistrict—which changed just prior to TIFF—Mike Flanagan’s latest OCULUS will now debut out of a partnership between Relativity and Jason Blum’s genre stable, Blumhouse.

Deadline reports the pick up of the haunter about a brother and sister who reunite to destroy a 300 year-old cursed mirror they believe to have caused a family tragedy. Brenton Thwaites, Karen Gillan and RIDDICK’s Katee Sackhoff star. Sackhoff will reunite with the ABSENTIA director for his upcoming nightmare-based film, SOMNIA.
