New casting makes “ASH VS. EVIL DEAD” second season a family affair

The ASH VS. EVIL DEAD ensemble is being expanded for the next season, which will introduce us to Ashley J. Williams’ dad and best friend, both portrayed by familiar faces.

Starz has announced that Ted Raimi, who has appeared in all three EVIL DEAD features and many of brother Sam’s other films, will play Ash’s childhood best friend Chet Kaminski. And filling the shoes of Brock Williams, Ash’s father, is none other than Lee Majors, legendary star of TV’s THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN and THE FALL GUY, among others. They’ll join ASH VS. EVIL DEAD regulars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo in the second season of 10 half-hour episodes, which will air later this year.
