New “I, FRANKENSTEIN” Poster Stands Tall

As the emerging trend of re-imagined Frankenstein lore reaches cinemas over the next couple of years, the first reintroduction to the iconic character also seems to be the biggest.

Blending gothic horror with explosive action, I, FRANKENSTEIN stars Aaron Eckhart as the titular character, an immortal creation of Victor Frankenstein named Adam who is the last hope for humanity following a war between demons and gargoyles. Co-starring Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney and Yvonne Strahovski, I, FRANKENSTEIN trades in brooding horror for intense battles and a heightened mythology, and also exchanges the classic, medieval setting of FRANKENSTEIN for an alternate, dystopian present.

From the producers of UNDERWORLD, which focused also on a battle between the clashing undead, and directed by longtime genre scribe Stuart Beattie, I, FRANKENSTEIN looks to make Frankenstein’s Monster unlike any interpretation of the character before, finding himself warring between his monstrous existence and his inherent humanity whilst also functioning as an unlikely, rough-and-tumble antihero. The poster shows off Eckhart’s Adam, contemplative as the world below him crumbles in the wake of the supernatural war.

I, FRANKENSTEIN is unleashed by Lionsgate on January 24th in 2D, REAL-D 3D and IMAX 3D. Look for on-set coverage of the film on FANGORIA #329, on sale in December, as well as more coverage exclusively on FANGORIA.com.
