New Poster: Pegg and Frost look out from ” THE WORLD’S END”

Of course we’ve understood it won’t just be massive amounts of drink that threatens Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and the rest of the ensemble in Edgar Wright’s upcoming THE WORLD’S END. As the film nears, a new poster has blown a peephole through the pub sign and revealed something cosmic.

The third in their “Blood and Cornetto” trilogy that’s already given the gifts of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, THE WORLD’S END sees five friends—played by Pegg, Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan—reunite to re-attempt a fantastically long pub crawl. “They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”

Falling meteorites. Blue-eyed hordes. Annihilation from suds and stars looks in order. We’ll get THE WORLD’S END on August 23, while the UK meets it July 19.
