New poster shows you the “JUG FACE”

Having premiered at Slamdance this past January, Chad Crawford Kinkle’s neat low budget creeper is on its way this summer. In advance of that release of the tale of pottery prophecy in a backwoods community, there’s a new, less illustrated one sheet highlighting the titular object.

JUG FACE refers to a longstanding tradition in a small, rural community in which the village potter is supernaturally overtaken and crafts a jug that reveals the visage of a necessary sacrifice. The sacrifice is given to “the pit,” which as we come to find out, when angry produces something murderous. Ada, whose face is carved in, hides the jug in an effort to save her unborn child (the father of which is her brother). Mayhem ensues.

Lauren Ashley Carter, Sean Young and Larry Fessenden star. For more on JUG FACE, see our review and read comments from the cast.
