NY! Fango’s “POLTERGEIST” screening at Alamo Drafthouse moved to this Thursday

Some poltergeists got into the works at the New York-area Alamo Drafthouse Cinema this past Friday night and scuttled the FANGORIA-hosted screening of the Tobe Hooper-Steven Spielberg classic, so it has been rescheduled for later this week.

POLTERGEIST, the first in a monthly series of horror favorites hosted by Fango’s Michael Gingold, will be shown in 35mm at the Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers, just north of Manhattan (2548 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY), on Thursday, January 30 at 9:30 p.m. Advance tickets can be ordered here; don’t miss this chance to see one of the most spectacularly scary fright films ever on the big screen, in the format it was intended to be seen in. Future Fango presentations at the Drafthouse will include Wes Craven’s original THE HILLS HAVE EYES on February 28 and John McNaughton’s HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER on March 28. Keep an eye on the theater’s official site for updates.
