NY! Join Fango’s Michael Gingold for special “THE OMEN” screening at Alamo Drafthouse!

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the movie that made Damien a new name for evil, and FANGORIA is part of a celebratory screening later this month at the New York-area Alamo Drafthouse!

Richard Donner’s 1976 classic THE OMEN will be shown in a brand new DCP restoration at the Drafthouse (2548 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY) on Thursday, March 31 at 9 p.m., hosted by Fango editor Michael Gingold. Gregory Peck and Lee Remick play the parents (the U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain and his wife) who are unaware at first that their young son Damien is none other than the Antichrist, who causes the bizarre and horrific deaths of anyone who might reveal his dark secret. With David Warner as an inquisitive photographer, Billie Whitelaw as Damien’s malevolent nanny and an Oscar-winning score by the great Jerry Goldsmith, THE OMEN sparked a film and TV franchise that continues to this day with the new DAMIEN series, and is studio horror at its best—and best experienced up on the big screen.
