NY! More fright fare set for Ithaca Fantastic Festival

November’s Ithaca International Fantastic Film Festival is shaping up to be a must-attend event for New York State genre fans, as the final round of programming has been announced.

Joining the already impressive lineup we reported on here, the event (which runs November 11-15) will also host chillers including Joe Begos’ gory David Cronenberg homage THE MIND’S EYE (pictured above, and reviewed here); Christian Hallman’s Swedish haunted-house opus SENSORIA; Michael Thelin’s EMELIE, starring Sarah Bolger as a babysitter with devious intentions for the kids she’s looking after; SCHERZO DIABOLICO (reviewed here), the latest from Adrián García Bogliano that takes the kidnapping/dark-comedy form to extremely nasty ends; and Rania Attieh and Daniel Garcia’s H., about two young women slipping into madness, as well as such notable fantasy/thriller fare as Sion Sono’s LOVE & PEACE, Stephen Fingleton’s THE SURVIVALIST, Karoly Ujj Meszaros’ LIZA, THE FOX FAIRY, Lisa Takeba’s HARUKO’S PARANORMAL LABORATORY and many more. Hit up the fest’s official website for the full roster and more info!
