NY! See the director’s cut of “HARDWARE” in 35mm at Alamo Drafthouse with Fango’s Michael Gingold!

It’s a big day for Richard Stanley news, and New York-area fans will have a rare chance to see his debut feature in uncensored form next month at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, with FANGORIA hosting the show!

Stanley’s HARDWARE, a dystopian sci-fi shocker about a government-created robot running murderously amok, became one of the most publicized victims of MPAA-mandated trimming, losing significant gore footage to land an R rating. Now you can see it in all its splattery splendor as the Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers, just north of Manhattan (2548 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY), screens an uncut 35mm print on Friday, April 17 at 10 p.m., introduced by Fango’s Michael Gingold. Beyond the red stuff, HARDWARE also boasts striking visuals and a mesmerizing soundtrack that make for a fully immersive cinematic experience, so don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the film in all its big-screen glory.
