NY/NJ! Join FANGORIA for Two Terrors at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers!

Even as the Northeast recovers from Winter Storm Juno, FANGORIA proves that there truly is no rest for the wicked as our NY-bound staff is hosting a pair of vintage fright flicks at the Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers this February!

Firstly, specialty distributor Vinegar Syndrome continues their monthly screening series at the Yonkers Drafthouse with a newly restored print of the 1981 seminal camp slasher DON’T GO IN THE WOODS, and FANGORIA will be on hand as Managing Web Editor Ken Hanley will be hosting. And if that’s not enough to get you to check out this bloody and absurd genre gem, you’ll be able to see the stunning new high definition transfer of the film for only $5! The screening will be next Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 p.m., and you can get tickets here.

And for our official “FANGORIA Presents” screening, Fango’s longtime Managing Editor Michael Gingold will be bringing Fulci to Yonkers with a 35mm print of THE BEYOND! Hitting right in time for the film’s much-anticipated Blu-ray bow from Grindhouse Releasing, THE BEYOND is known as one of Fulci’s most prolific and shocking films- and for good reason. Check out the film as it was meant to be seen at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9th, and tickets are available here.

And while the Alamo Drafthouse is programming a cavalcade of romantic fare this February, horror fans shouldn’t worry: the Yonkers location will be serving host to a number of other eerie alternatives this month, including Brian de Palma’s BODY DOUBLE, Larry Cohen’s GOD TOLD ME TO, Stuart Gordon’s CASTLE FREAK, John McTiernan’s PREDATOR and Mark Alfrey’s LUNATIC. And if you’re braving the roads before Friday, you can check out STARLOG favorite R100, playing now for a limited time from Drafthouse Films.
