Pics from the Fango/IFC/Times Scare “MANIAC” screening/party!

On Monday night, MANIAC returned to Manhattan as FANGORIA, IFC Midnight and Times Scare teamed up to present a special screening at the bar/restaurant/haunted attraction, with Elijah Wood and others in attendance. Read on to see some candid images from the event.

In addition to Wood, on hand for a post-movie Q&A with Fango managing editor Michael Gingold (1st photo below), attendees included director Franck Khalfoun (who also took part in the discussion) and actresses Genevieve Alexandra (2nd photo), Jan Broberg and Megan Duffy, who all took the stage to give the movie a spirited introduction (3rd photo) and chatted with assorted press folks (4th photo). The grisly remake went over great with the crowd, and the MANIAC team then hung out with Fango folk including Tom DeFeo, Tony Timpone, Ken Hanley and Vivienne Vaughn, along with fans like Erin Poland (5th photo), at an after-party; Wood and co. even braved Times Scare’s haunted house. A crazy time was had by all! (Thanks to Camron Cooke, Michael Winton, Nathaniel Baruch, David Sehring, Adam Kersh and Ryan Powers for their parts in putting the show together, and to Vivienne and Justin Morales for providing a couple of these photos.)

MANIAC begins its regular theatrical run at NYC’s IFC Center (323 6th Avenue) this Friday, June 14, and also hits VOD that day. Wood discusses the movie in depth in Fango #324, now on sale; stay tuned for more on MANIAC and its star at this site soon!
