“PONTYPOOL” director underway on Halloween horror, “HELLIONS”

Halloween may be over (sad face), but PONTYPOOL director Bruce MacDonald is already gearing up for next year’s with new All Hallow’s-themed horror film, HELLIONS.

Produced by Frank Siracusa and Paul Lenart, HELLIONS focuses on a pregnant teen who must contend with trick-or-treaters from hell one Halloween night. Siracusa and Lenart say, “HELLIONS will deliver a perfect balance of scares, fun, and blood. Chloe Rose’s Dora is a drop dead gorgeous warrior princess who is going to blow people away— and not just because she’s packing a shotgun. We’re also thrilled to have Bruce back making horror. His PONTYPOOL was one of the most original horror movies we’ve ever seen. Imagine what he’ll be able to do with a band of hellish trick-or-treaters.”

McDonald is absolutely a unique voice, with PONTYPOOL just one highlight in a varied career that also includes the awesome HARD CORE LOGO. As if we weren’t already looking forward to next Halloween…
