Release info now “EXISTS” for “BLAIR WITCH” director’s Bigfoot flick

Eduardo Sanchez made you afraid to go in the woods when he co-directed THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT 15 years ago, and now he’s back with another tale of terror in the trees: EXISTS, for which a pair of debut dates have been revealed.

Fango has learned that Lionsgate will release EXISTS on VOD and in theaters October 24. Jamie Nash, who also wrote Sanchez’s alien-invasion flick ALTERED and co-scripted LOVELY MOLLY with the director, penned this one, which stars Dora Madison Burge, Samuel Davis, Roger Edwards, Chris Osborn, Brian Steele and Denise Williamson. The synopsis: “For five friends, it was a chance for a summer getaway—a weekend of camping in the Texas Big Thicket. But visions of a carefree vacation are shattered with an accident on a dark and desolate country road. In the wake of the accident, a bloodcurdling force of nature is unleashed—something not exactly human, but not completely animal—an urban legend come to terrifying life…and seeking murderous revenge.” Find out more at EXISTS’ Facebook page.
