Rob Zombie’s “31” Begins Casting; Adds “STREETS OF FIRE” and “BUBBA HO-TEP” Actors

While his contributions to genre films and horror-themed rock music have earned him the title of a FANGORIA Legend, Rob Zombie’s newest film, 31, has been his most polarizing to date. After two crowdfunding campaigns and a very public development process, 31 is finally gearing up for production this month, and as per the Zombie way, casting is underway via announcements on his own Facebook page.

Par for the course, Zombie has been filling 31 with the likes of genre vets and dependable character actors. On the victims side, Zombie has announced Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (a/k/a “Boom Boom” Washington from WELCOME BACK, KOTTER) and Zombie regular Daniel Roebuck (BUBBA HO-TEP, THE DEVIL’S REJECTS) as “Panda Thompson”, the manager of a traveling carnival, and “Pastor Victor”, a surviving participant from the last game of 31, respectively. As for the tormentors, Zombie has cast E.G. Daily (STREETS OF FIRE, PEE WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE) and Torsten Voges (THE BIG LEBOWSKI, THE LORDS OF SALEM) as “Sex-Head” and “Death-Head”, two of the murderous clowns that run Murder-World. Expect more from 31 as production nears closer.
