Robert Patrick and others join “FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES”

An actor who was once a Terminator is now a lapsed man of the cloth in Robert Rodriguez’s televised retelling of his vampire actioner, which has added more new cast as well.

Robert Patrick, who previously starred in Rodriguez’s THE FACULTY as well as TERMINATOR 2 and other genre fare, plays former minister Jacob Fuller (the Harvey Keitel role in the movie), whose RV is hijacked by fleeing bank robbers Seth and Richie Gecko (D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz). Madison Davenport and Brandon Soo Hoo have been cast as Jacob’s teenaged children Kate and Scott, while Eiza González portrays Santánico Pandemonium, the sexy star attraction at the vampire strip bar where the characters all wind up. In addition to Cotrona and Holtz, the previously announced cast of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES includes Don Johnson as Sheriff Earl McGraw and Jesse Garcia as Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character added to the scenario.

Currently in production in Austin, TX for the El Rey Network, the 10-episode show will debut this December, with Rodriguez himself directing the first two episodes. Diego Gutierrez wrote the teleplays, which further explore the mythology of the feature film’s story and the backstories of its characters.
