Ron Perlman doubts “HELLBOY 3” will happen, teams soon with “CHANGELING” director

The many fans of Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman’s supernatural superhero franchise have been hoping for a new installment ever since the 2008 release of HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY—but don’t hold your breath, the actor reveals.

Variety reports that while he was attending the Guadalajara Festival in Mexico, where he was receiving a tribute, Perlman said that HELLBOY 3 “probably will never happen, though you never say never never.” The actor is currently busy on the second season of his Amazon Prime series HAND OF GOD, and also with his new Wing and a Prayer Pictures, which is about to launch its first feature POTTERSVILE and will also produce ASHER, in which Perlman will pay a Mossad-trained hitman under the direction of THE CHANGELING’s Peter Medak. Of course, we can still hold out hope that the stars will align and Big Red will eventually make it back to the screen; we’ll keep you posted on any further developments!
